The construction project consists of replacing sewer and drinking water mains. Streets and sidewalks will also be resurfaced.
When?
Through fall 2022.
Where?
On Boulevard Grande Allée between Rue Fleury and Boulevard Henri-Bourassa as well as on Rue Prieur between Boulevard Grande Allée and Rue Clark. Check construction notices in order to plan your travels.
What?
- Removing asphalt and foundation.
- Repairing (where possible) and replacing sewer and drinking water mains.
- Resurfacing roads and sidewalks.
Why?
Drinking water and sewer mains have reached the end of their lifespan. They must be replaced to avoid leaks and breakage.
We are taking advantage of the repair work to replace lead service lines.
Trees may need to be cut down if their survival is compromised and transplanting them is not possible. Felled trees will be repurposed and new trees will be planted.
