Outdoor activities
Future_Tense, by the Intervals collective, from September 11, 2020 to January 31, 2021
Thirteen artists cast a critical eye on the future and our way of existing in the public sphere. These works provide an opportunity to imagine a new vision of social relations and a change in behaviour for the sake of our wellbeing in the world of tomorrow. The project is presented in two forms: as a physical installation near Parc Jean-Brillant, and online.
Hexaphone, from October 2 to November 5, 2020
Hexaphone is a multimedia installation that viewers can walk through for a behind-the-scenes look at a recording studio. Three artists (Thaïs, Jorane and KFTU) each recorded a piece of music in a studio. The sounds emitted by the instruments are isolated and distributed across five modules so that visitors can hear the sounds of each musician separately at first, and then hear them all together as a song once they reach the centre of the installation.
The work will be displayed in front of the Centre sportif Notre-Dame-de-Grâce.
Journées de la culture
The Journées de la culture will have a new format this year. Rather than taking place within a few days, the event will last for an entire month, from September 25 to October 25. For details, see the event website.
