Last updated May 23, 2023
Reading time: 1 min

Did you know that more than 500,000 comic strips are available through the city’s library network? This year, May, Comic Arts Month, showcases adaptations for the big and small screens, or creations inspired by literary works. The program will also feature exhibitions and activities.

Activities for youth and for adults

Dozens of activities will be presented for kids and teens, including drawing workshops, digital manga creation, a quiz, films screenings, and much more.

Adults will have the chance to meet cartoonists whose work has been adapted to a different format, among them Jean-Paul Eid, creator of “Le petit astronaute”, or who have adapted a work for a comic strip, among them Julie Rocheleau, creator of “La Petite-Patrie”. Comic strip reading clubs, conferences and creative workshops will also be offered.

Check out the schedule to discover more of the activities presented as part of May, Comic Strip Month.
