Have fun in the libraries
Special programming for March Break
Montréal joue is expanding its programming to entertain families during the school vacation. Participate in quizzes, video game tournaments, treasure hunts, or create your own games! Activities may vary from one library to another.
All the video games, board games and game-books you want
Did you know that the library network has a collection of more than 26,000 video games and 19,000 board games? More than enough for hours of fun! Feel free to ask staff for suggestions. In some libraries, you can only borrow games in person. Find out before you go.
Use the Nelligan catalogue to check the holding and reserve online.
Fun at home
Play kits and booklets
Would you rather stay home and play? Play kits, including board games, video games and books in which you are the hero, are available in several libraries. Give your family’s brains a workout with any of the many game-booklets available at the library or in a downloadable version (to print out).
Online fun
Enjoy fun virtual activities, such as quizzes, video games, board games, electronic sports, role-playing and in-home challenges. New items are added to the programming each week. For example, La potion de la sorcière (in French) is a must for those aged six to twelve. In a fun and safe setting, participants help the witch Mélisse to concoct a magic potion to save the animals in the forest. This online game requires logic and a sense of observation.
After having celebrated play through a festival, the Montréal joue adventure continues in another form. Play activities are now available throughout the year in your libraries.
