Open or closed: Holiday period

During the holiday period, several Montréal facilities will be closed and the schedules of some services will change.

Here are the city facilities and services that will be open or closed for the holiday season.

Collections of household waste, bulky objects, recyclables and food waste will take place as scheduled. Find out more

Closed from December 24 to January 4 inclusively

311 operating hours remain unchanged, except on the following dates:

December 24 and 31: 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

December 25-26-27 and January 1-2: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Closed from December 24 to January 4 inclusively

  • Counter at 775 Rue Gosford: Closed from December 24 to January 4 inclusively.

  • Counter at 303 Rue Notre-Dame Est: closed from December 24 to 28 and from December 31 to January 4 inclusively. Open December 29 and 30.

  • Counter at 7275 Rue Sherbrooke Est: closed from December 24 to 28 and from December 31 to January 4 inclusively. Open December 29 and 30.

  • Counter at 1405 Rue de l’Église: closed from December 24 to 28 and from December 31 to January 4 inclusively. Open December 29 and 30.

    The call centre will be closed from December 24 to January 4 inclusively. 

    No applications for stays of execution will be heard between December 22 and January 4 inclusively. Only cases of persons in custody will be processed in court during this period.

Depending on your borough, sports and cultural facilities schedules may vary. Limited number of activites offered.

The vaccine passport is required for all visitors ages 13 and up taking part in any recreational activities offered.

Due to the health measures in force, the Biodome, Biosphere, Botanical Garden and Rio Tinto Alcan Planetarium are closed. Only the outdoor gardens of the Jardin botanique are currently open.

Digital services are available at all times. Please note that, due to the holiday break, your requests will be processed beginning January 5.

All applications e-mailed to the Service de l’habitation, the Municipal Court, and the Service de l’évaluation foncière during the holiday period will be accepted, but will be processed starting January 5.
