Are you a member of the Montréal library network and want to enjoy winter to the fullest? You can now borrow snowshoes, sleds, crampons and walking sticks from four city libraries.

You can reserve the equipment by phone or in person only, at one of the four libraries below:
- Bibliothèque Mordecai-Richler
- Bibliothèque Saul-Bellow
- Bibliothèque Marie-Uguay
- Bibliothèque de Rosemont
We will contact you when the equipment is available, and you will have a few days to pick it up.
Children under age 14 who want to borrow equipment must be accompanied by an adult when they come to the library.
Duration of the loan
The equipment is loaned to you for a period of seven consecutive days. You may extend your loan if no other user has reserved the equipment.
- You must return the equipment to the library counter where you borrowed it.
- The equipment must be returned clean, dry, and in good condition, in its protective case and with all the accessories, if applicable.
You are responsible for the equipment you borrow until you bring it back to the library counter.
Returned equipment is quarantined for at least 24 hours. It is removed from your file after this period. No late fees apply during the quarantine period.
