Rue Gilford construction : News and impacts

Rue Gilford in the Plateau-Mont-Royal borough will be revitalized between Rue Mentana and Avenue Papineau. Plans include replacing underground infrastructure, roadway and lighting, as well as lead water supply pipes.

Details of the project


Work will begin in July 2022 and will last 2 years. 


The work will take place on Rue Gilford, between Rue Mentana and Avenue Papineau. 


Underground infrastructure works: 

  • Water and sewer systems will be modernized
  • Lead water supply pipes will be replaced (residents who have lead water pipes will be contacted about this)

Road works: 

  • The pavement will be refurbished
  • The bike path will be adjusted and curb extensions reconfigured
  • Traffic lights and street lighting will be revitalized.
