Come and meet our artist and poet-in-residence Fortner Anderson during his public reading of memories collected from Pierrefonds-Roxboro residents.
Entitled The Memory of a Place, this collaborative writing project was carried out between March 2020 and October 2021 with the participation of library users and residents of the borough.
The text consists of 500 sentences written by the participants who had to describe, in a single sentence, a personal memory related to the borough of Pierrefonds-Roxboro. In addition, each sentence had to contain only one verb.
The participants were free to choose their memories, whether they were commonplace or extraordinary events, facts of historical importance or simple images of ordinary life.
The event will take place at the Pierrefonds Library on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at 1:00 pm.
Register early as space is limited. We invite you to complete this form to reserve your spot.
