The multimedia installation and the photographs of Stéréotypia by Mariza Rosales Argonza and Nora Golic connect art and culture, and deconstruct our prejudices. Free exhibition presented by the Borough of LaSalle.
The exhibition Stéréotypia deconstructs the notion of “stereotype”. It questions preconceived ideas about otherness determined by a gaze that embodies the asymmetry of power. It offers a diversified point of view and highlights the complex mechanisms that generate exclusion.
The multimedia installation and photographs presented here by two artists from a background of diversity propose a reflection on the tensions of intercultural relations and the role of art as a tool for social inclusion.
