Workshop — Seed saving for pollinators and biodiversity
This hands-on workshop is all about seed saving for pollinators!
Description
Urban gardeners are an important part of the solution to helping pollinators and seed saving is a great way to give our declining pollinators a boost! We will discuss plants that are especially important to pollinators and how to save their seeds.
Also, we will practice three techniques for removing milkweed fluff. We will also discuss general seed saving techniques and cold stratification. Participants will be able to try the techniques and will leave with at least two types of native pollinator friendly seeds.
A presentation by Krin Haglund of Jardin Buzz, a nursery specializing in plants for pollinators.
