Change your plea after contesting an infraction

Did you plead not guilty to a statement of offence? Would you like to change your plea? Find out how.

If your hearing at municipal court has not yet taken place and you would like to change your plea, there are two ways to do so:

Pay the amount in full

You can pay the full amount before the date of the hearing. There are no additional fees for you to pay.

Enter a change of plea

You can complete the form found below to change your plea. You have an additional 30 days to pay.

Plan for a reasonable amount of time for your plea to be received and handled ahead of the hearing date.
