Pay your commercial development corporation contribution

Last updated January 18, 2024

Are you a member of a commercial development corporation (SDC)? You have an annual contribution to pay. Find out how.

To have voting rights at corporation meetings, members must pay their annual contribution. The city bills and collects these contributions.

Businesses that move into a space after January 1 do not have contributions to pay for the current year. They will receive their first account the following year.

Receipt of your invoice

Invoices are sent out at the beginning of the year to the occupants who are operating a business on the first day of the year, which is January 1.

If an occupant terminates business activity within that commercial development corporation area during the current year, his or her contribution will not be reimbursed.

Paying your invoice

If contributions are less than $300, the occupant on January 1 must pay his or her account invoice in a single payment. If it is equal to or greater than $300, payment can be made in two instalments.
