March 20 - April 23, 2022, artist Géraldine Saucier will be visiting the Bibliothèque Saul-Bellow. A number of activities will provide you with an opportunity to meet her.
Young multidisciplinary artist Géraldine Saucier will spend a few weeks at the Bibliothèque Saul-Bellow to work on writing songs for her next album. This Lachine resident wants to explore the themes of violence and women’s liberation. She will be offering two writing workshops, in addition to presenting her creations in a show that she is debuting. Don’t hesitate to take part!
This artist will be at Salle M on Tuesdays, 1 p.m. - 4 p.m., and Saturdays, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. throughout her stay, March 20 - April 23. She invites you to come and meet her and talk about writing, poetry, music composition and song.
A career off to a good start
Géraldine Saucier is a composer-singer-songwriter as well as a performer who is active in the fields of poetry and the art of speech. A graduate of the École nationale de la chanson, she composes music that has been heard on CHOQ, CKVL and CFAK. In 2020, she had a regular broadcast on Radio Cité Edmonton.
Recipient of a grant from the Canada Council for the Arts, she will be working on a poetic and musical performance during her stay at the Bibliothèque Saul-Bellow, recounting the stories of women who have been subjected to violence. Through her art, she wants to give a voice to people who are not often heard.
