Emerging companies: $4 million in financial support

Startups can count on new financial support from Montréal. Totalling $4 million, the goal is to develop an entrepreneurial culture open to innovation and experimentation.

Three collaborative initiatives

Call for projects for company incubators and accelerators

Available from October 3 to December 2, this call for projects will provide $1.5 million over three years to create and grow startups. The objective is to develop and consolidate specialized advisory services.

By fostering business links with medium and large companies, organizations can better develop and bring to market their products, in the most promising sectors, including:

  • Aeronautics
  • Biofood
  • Cybersecurity
  • Cultural and creative industries
  • Artificial intelligence and big data
  • Real estate and construction
  • Logistics and mobility
  • Advanced manufacturing and robotics
  • Life sciences and health care technologies
  • Financial technologies
  • Tourism

Relaunch of the Open Innovation Subsidy Program

Starting on October 28, $1 million will be added to the current Open Innovation Subsidy Program. This funding will allow young companies and partner organizations to work together on project commercialization.

Support for Startup Montréal

Montréal is renewing its subsidy to local non-profit Startup Montréal with $1.5 million over three years, allowing implementation of its 2022-2025 strategic plan. The mission of this NPO is to multiply the positive impacts in Montréal’s startup ecosystem and to raise the profile of emerging companies locally and elsewhere.
