Montréal has announced a new program providing up to $5,000 in financial assistance for businesses affected by construction for phase 1 of the Express Bike Network. The city has set aside $1.5 million for the program.
Merchants are eligible for a subsidy that is calculated according to the area of their commercial space:
- $2,500 for spaces that measure 2,000 ft2 and under.
- $3,750 for spaces that measure 2,001 à 4,999 ft2.
- $5,000 for spaces that measure 5,000 ft2 and over.
Businesses on the three EBN thoroughfares that are being launched in 2020 are eligible for the program:

This program is being launched as part of the Réflexe Montréal agreement that the city signed with the government of Québec. The agreement aims to develop Montréal’s fullest economic, social and cultural potential.
