Les Jeux de Montréal: A revamped formula for kids ages 6 to 12
Sports enthusiasts ages 6 to 12 are invited to participate in the Jeux de Montréal by meeting challenges at home and beyond under the 44th edition’s revamped formula.
Each year, the Jeux de Montréal allows thousands of kids from across the island to experience their first sporting competition and discover the advantages of an active lifestyle in a stimulating and positive environment.
An event in two stages
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s event will be held in two stages.
Virtual Passe-Sports - April 7 until the end of June
Exciting virtual challenges, presented at home or outside the home, will allow kids to try 29 sports alongside motivating ambassadors. By participating in these activities, the kids will accumulate points, which will be attributed to their delegation (borough or reconstituted city). In addition, a major contest will be held with the kids who take part in the Virtual Passe-Sports challenges.
Summer tour - July to August
The Jeux de Montréal activity team will visit kids in selected day camps to get them excited about being active. A colourful summer is in store, complete with initiations to sports, educational activities, demonstrations and surprises of all kinds. The presentation of the summer tour will be contingent on the public health situation and the measures in place at that time.
