Mobility squad: Montréal wins an excellence award

The mobility squad patrols Montréal’s streets in order to improve traffic. The proactive work carried out by this response unit has been acknowledged by the Association québécoise des transports, the 2020 sustainable mobility award (Prix Mobilité durable 2020).
Hindrances, obstructions, work sites, traffic jams, illegal parking: these urban mobility challenges can affect road safety. Sixteen inspectors act daily to improve mobility and safety for Montréal’s population.
The mobility squad was selected among 38 finalists. The Prix Mobilité durable is an initiative by the Table d’expertise sur la Mobilité durable de l’AQTr. It rewards a project that has contributed to improving mobility, in a sustainable development perspective.
