Montréal is launching its Nature and Sports Plan to integrate nature into the city, increase its resilience and accelerate its ecological transition. The plan sets out actions to shape our city and encourage our communities to adopt a healthy and active lifestyle.
Preserving natural habitats, creating new green spaces and making Montréal’s large parks more accessible: The plan’s major orientations strengthen our ties with nature. The plan also calls for rehabilitation of Montréal’s shorelines and conservation of the Parc du Mont-Royal. Its other actions include developing more recreational and sports activities as well as quality facilities.
The plan is a response to our new climate realities, namely by putting forth ambitious and sustainable solutions to make our living environments more resilient.
