The Borough of Pierrefonds-Roxboro and the Direction de l’eau potable of the Ville de Montréal must intervene on the water supply network, which will cause the complete closure of water supply for a specific sector on Monday, October 4, between 5 a.m. and 8 p.m.
This intervention will allow to conduct repairs simultaneously that will solve recurring leaks in the neighbourhood.
Complete closure of water supply
The drinking water supply will be completely cut off on Monday, October 4, between 5 a.m. and 8 p.m.
*If we encounter problems, a second day of water shut-off may be required.
Make the necessary arrangements to stock up water
Citizens and businesses in need to use water during this day are requested to stock water PRIOR TO 5 A.M., ON MONDAY.
All addresses that are concerned by this advisory will be receiving a paper notice currently in distribution.
- Boulevard de Pierrefonds, between rue Paiement and boulevard Saint-Jean
- Rue Paiement, between boulevard Pierrefonds and rue de la Caserne
- Rue Laniel, between boulevard Pierrefonds and rue de la Caserne (up to limit south)
Possibility of rust-coloured water after the reopening of service
Following this operation, tap water might become brownish or rust-coloured. In this case, run the cold-water tap for sinks and bath, for about 30 minutes, until the water becomes clear again. It should be noted that no boil water advisories are expected to be issued as part of this work.

Impact to be expected on traffic
Traffic on boulevard de Pierrefonds, between boulevard Jacques-Bizard and west of rue Paiement, is to be expected. Rue Paiement will also be closed at boulevard de Pierrefonds. Detours will be put in place and will take into consideration the work already underway on boulevard Gouin Ouest to ensure traffic flow in the area.
