When it rains, water flows, for the most part, into the sewer. But is that the best solution? The city’s Blue Patrol can advise you on how to better manage your household wastewater.
This summer, the Blue Patrol will travel the streets of Montréal in an effort to raise public awareness about environmental issues and answer your questions concerning sustainable wastewater management.
The Blue Patrol will take the opportunity to analyze the orientation of your gutters to help the city better evaluate the volume of rainwater that goes into sewers. This way, Montréal could take more effective action in the event of sewer backups and local flooding, as well as reduce untreated wastewater discharges into the river.
