Parklets are outdoor spaces where residents can relax and socialize.

A number of boroughs build and maintain parklets on public property, and some even authorize businesses, schools and organizations to build a parklet in front of their façade, provided that it is kept clean and properly maintained.

Before building your parklet, please make sure it is authorized by your borough, learn about the applicable standards, and get a seasonal public property occupancy permit.
