Grand Prix du livre de Montréal
This award celebrates excellence in literary creation and highlights the vitality of Montréal’s publishing scene.
The following 5 books were selected as finalists:
- Awards, by Maxime Brillon, Les Herbes rouges
- Les traits difficiles, by Evelyne de la Chenelière, Les Herbes rouge
- The Capital of Dreams, by Heather O’Neill, HarperCollins Canada
- Soleil d’abandon, by Mathieu Rolland, Les Éditions du Boréal
- Un carré de poussière, by Olivia Tapiero, Les Éditions de la rue Dorion
The jury is made up of personalities from diverse backgrounds within the publishing industry and Montréal’s contemporary intellectual currents. Writer Stanley Péan will chair this year’s jury.

Prix du livre jeunesse des Bibliothèques de Montréal
This award recognizes the wealth and diversity of children’s literature in Montréal.
The following 5 books were selected as finalists:
- L’homme aux araignées, by Jocelyn Boisvert, La courte échelle
- Hugo, by Catherine Braun-Grenier, Éditions Fonfon
- Bonjour, mon cœur, by Fanny Britt, Le Cheval d’août
- Déménager au ciel, by Mélodie Bujold-Henri and Jean-Guy Forget, La courte échelle
- Un cadeau de Noël en novembre, by Stéphane Laporte (text) and Jacques Goldstyn (illustrations), Les Éditions De la Bagnole
The jury is made up of librarians specialized in children’s literature within the Bibliothèques de Montréal network.
