Then come and find out!

French lecture.

Description

The conference will present the concept of micro-forests, based on the Miyawaki method and its theoretical and practical foundations. A micro-forest is a small plot densely planted with native trees and shrubs, designed to quickly recreate a natural forest ecosystem. Thanks to dense planting and soil enrichment, it grows much faster than a traditional forest, promotes rich biodiversity, and improves the local climate in just a few years.

We will focus on adapting this method to the Quebec context and on Arbre-Évolution’s concrete experience. An overview of the projects carried out by our cooperative will be presented, with a particular focus on those located in the Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce borough.
