There is nothing better than an afternoon of skating at Sportplexe Pierrefonds as a great way to stretch your legs and unwind after indulging in your favourite holiday treats! Enjoy free skating on December 23, 26, 27 and 30 from noon to 2:45 p.m.
2. Play outdoors at Cap-St-Jacques Nature Park
Cap-St-Jacques Nature Park: the perfect place for a breath of fresh air! Kilometers of trails are yours to walk or practice winter sports, if the weather cooperates. Equipment rental is available on site.
4. Dive into a good book at our libraries (modified hours)
The holiday season is the perfect time to escape into captivating stories! Visit the Pierrefonds Library and William-G.-Boll Library to discover new books that will transport you to all kinds of exciting worlds. Our libraries have everything you need to enrich your holiday break. Please note that opening hours are modified during the holiday season: Dec. 24 to 26 - Closed / Dec. 31 to Jan. 2 – Closed.
5. Borrow an instrument to add a musical touch to your holiday celebrations!
This holiday season, let music fill your home with the Music Instrument Loan Program! Whether you’re drawn to strings, winds, or percussion, you can borrow a variety of instruments such as violins, guitars, ukuleles, drums, and more from your local library. To reserve an instrument, simply check the Nelligan catalog and contact one of our libraries to make your loan. Enjoy a three-week loan period.
6. Practice like a pro with the library's digital piano
Come play piano solo or as a duo at Pierrefonds Library! Thanks to the Municipalité amie des aînés (MADA) program, the library now has a digital piano. Enjoy the peace and quiet with our on-site headphones. First arrived, first served.
7. For our four-legged friends: discover the new Victor P. Gray dog park
A new dog exercise area has just been inaugurated at Victor P.-Gray Park. The fenced-in, well-lit site features a footpath accessible to people with reduced mobility, a drinking fountain and park installations, so you’re sure to enjoy your visit! We look forward to seeing you there with your beloved furry friend!
8. Unleash your creativity at the Pierrefonds Makerspace
The Pierrefonds Makerspace is a digital creation and fabrication space focused on new technologies. It is the perfect place to produce all kinds of creative projects. Curious and experts users are welcome! Monday and Tuesday: 1 to 6 p.m. - Wednesday: 1 to 8 p.m. - Thursday to Sunday: 1 to 5 p.m.
