Work underway
- Complete reconstruction of the road
- Work on exploration shafts and drain connection
- Replacement of lead service entrance pipes in the construction zone
- Construction of electrical conduit infrastructure
- Restoration of heritage stone walls along the boulevard
- Planting of trees, bushes and perennials to enhance the natural, woodland character of the nature park
Work schedule
Daily, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Getting around during the project
Automobiles
- A one-way westbound traffic lane will be maintained between Boulevard Toupin and Avenue Martin
- Eastbound local traffic is authorized between Avenue Joseph-Saucier and Avenue Le Mesurier
- Chemin du Roy will be completely closed.
- Detours planned as needed to facilitate traffic flow and safety in the area
- Some private driveways will be obstructed to carry out the work. Residences affected will receive a door-hanger notice 48 hours in advance. It will be possible to park on neighbouring streets during this period.
Mobility and active transport
- Pedestrians will be accommodated at all times
- In certain places, signage will require cyclists to dismount and continue on foot
- Public transit will be maintained; stops, schedules and routes may be changed. For information: 514-786-4636 or stm.info.
Access to buildings
- Homes and other buildings will remain accessible at all times
- Collège Sainte-Marcelline and Résidence L’Amitié: One of the two entrances will be open at all times. A drop-off point, with signal operators, has been created on Avenue Joseph-Saucier to allow parents to drop off and collect their children, A pedestrian safety corridor has been created.
- On garbage, recycling and compost collection days, place your bins and trash cans, with your address marked, in the usual location. Containers that are not accessible to collection workers will be moved by the contractor and returned in front of your building.
Noise and vibrations
The use of construction tools and other equipment may generate smells, dust, noise and vibrations, despite all the measures planned by the team of experts who are tasked with minimizing disturbances from the project.
If you have mobility issues, are planning a move, will have work done on your property, or for any other situation for which you think it will be important to advise the project manager, call 311.
