Community and Educational Garden at Jean-Brillant Park
Pierrefonds-Roxboro is proud to announce the completion of the first phase of development for a community and educational garden at Jean-Brillant Park, finalized in December 2025.
A project to support food security
Starting in spring 2026, fruits, vegetables, and herbs will be grown and distributed to individuals in need within our community. The garden will be managed by our partner organization, West Island Assistance Fund, which plays an important role in supporting food security.
An educational mission
Beyond its social mission, the garden will serve as a learning hub. Educational activities will allow youth to discover the world of plants and vegetable gardens. These workshops will be offered to day camps and the general public to promote outdoor learning and community engagement.
Benefits for everyone
This initiative aims to:
- Strengthen food security in our borough.
- Promote environmental education and showcase local biodiversity.
- Create a welcoming space for connection and sharing among residents.
Stay tuned! We’ll keep you informed about upcoming activities and opportunities to get involved. Together, let’s make this garden a place of solidarity and discovery.
