Development of a cycling link on Chemin de la Côte-Sainte-Catherine
The city will extend the bike path on Chemin de la Côte-Sainte-Catherine in 2025. A cycling link will also be developed on Avenue du Mont-Royal and some underground infrastructures will be renovated.

Where?
- On Chemin de la Côte-Sainte-Catherine between Avenue Villeneuve and Avenue du Mont-Royal
- On Avenue du Mont-Royal between Chemin de la Côte-Sainte-Catherine and Rue Saint-Urbain
What?
- Development of a two-way bike path on Chemin de la Côte-Sainte-Catherine;
- Development of a one-way bike path on both sides of Avenue du Mont-Royal;
- Rehabilitation of the sewer and water mains;
- Construction of concrete low walls at intersections;
- Development of new bus platforms;
- Construction of planting areas and concrete pedestrian refuges;
- Reconstruction of the road and marking of green bike boxes to make turning safer for cyclists;
- Addition of two electric BIXI stations;
- Upgrading of lighting and improvement of traffic lights at certain intersections;
- Replacement of certain lead water service connections.
Why?
In addition to making travel safer, these new developments will:
- Connect the different cycling links in the area;
- Ease traffic;
- Make three very busy intersections safer;
- Offer sustainable and efficient sewer and water mains;
- Improve universal access by building new bus platforms.
Publication information meeting
You are invited to attend a virtual public information session on the redevelopment of Chemin de la Côte-Sainte-Catherine and Avenue du Mont-Royal.
This project aims to connect the sector’s cycling network and calm traffic. It will make active travel safer, including at 3 high-traffic intersections.
The planned works, traffic restrictions and mitigation measures will also be discussed.
A question period will follow the presentation.
