The city will start development work in the area around the CHUM. All the work operations will take place over a period of two years.

2025 : Second phase

  • Redevelopment of Rue Saint-Denis between Boulevard René-Lévesque and Avenue Viger



Why

This redevelopment work is aimed at widening the sidewalks, planting trees, and adding street furniture to encourage active mobility among local residents and users. The work is part of revitalization projects completed in the Champ-de-Mars area with the objective of easing traffic and facilitating travel for pedestrians and cyclists by enhancing its attractions.

Traffic and parking

Boulevard René-Lévesque (between Saint-Denis and Hôtel-de-ville)

  • Partial closure (south side) from April 2024 to July 2024

  • Complete closure in August 2024

Sanguinet (between René-Lévesque and De la Gauchetière)

  • Complete closure (east and west side) until fall 2024

  • Partial closure in the fall
