This project aims to establish a revegetation program for exterior walls on municipal buildings. It was one of the winning projects in the first edition of the city’s participatory budget.

Description

Creation of vertical gardens that are at once attractive, refreshing and nourishing, by pairing plants with mural art.

This project will be implemented in two boroughs, with a total budget of $1.7 million.

Installation of three vertical gardens and green walls in the borough.

Completed

Development of planting pits in the raised section of Rue Berri in order to revegetate the viaduct walls with trailing vines.

  • Locations: Rue Berri, between Rue Ontario and Rue Sherbrooke
  • Budget: $260,000 
  • Delivery date: Fall of 2022
