This project aims for the compact plantation of trees and shrubs on public property. It is one of the winning projects of the second edition of the city’s participatory budget.

Description

These microforests are an addition to the 15 first ones that were planted as part of the first edition of the participatory budget. They are meant for areas that have less vegetation.

This project includes 7 boroughs, with a budget of $4.1 M.

Benefits

  • Addition of some ten new microforests and hundreds of trees.
  • Creation of biodiversity islands for the survival of plant and animal species.
  • New areas for residents to rest and disconnect.
