It is with great pleasure that the Borough of Pierrefonds-Roxboro invites Montréal Island artists to participate in the 38th edition of its art contest!
The purpose of this event is to encourage and promote the talent of amateur and professional artists living on the Island of Montréal. You can register as an Amateur or Professional in one of the categories you’ll find below. A jury of visual arts professionals (artists, educators, etc.) will evaluate the works by category and select the winners.
The awards will be presented at a gala evening on June 14, 2024, at the Pierrefonds Cultural Centre. The award ceremony will be followed by the vernissage for the exhibition of all participants’ works, which will run until July 6, 2024.
Those interested in entering the competition are asked to read the rules and complete the entry form by 11:59 p.m. on Monday, April 29, 2024.
Registration
The borough of Pierrefonds-Roxboro has adopted an eco-responsible approach, multiplying actions and initiatives to limit its ecological footprint and impact on the environment. For this reason, registrations will be made online only by filling out the form.

Note
- It is very important to keep to this schedule.
- All requests for a delay must be made by phone at 514 702-1812 May 1, 2024 at the latest.
- It should be noted that approval of a delay will depend on the progress of the judges’ work.
Dimensions and framing
Be sure to observe the following rules to avoid your work being rejected.
Dimension
The maximum dimensions including the frame are: 90 cm x 105 cm (35.43 in. x 41.34 in.)
Framing
Only works framed and ready to hang will be accepted. Exceptions:
- Gallery canvases 2 cm (1.5 in.) thick are accepted only if all four sides of the canvas are painted. These works must also be ready to hang.
- Framing with an easel support is not accepted, even for a small format.
Hanging system
Only the following hanging system is accepted: eyelets placed in the top third of the frame, with a metal wire under tension. Metal wire may not be replaced by rope, fishing line or nylon.
