A local, innovative and fair food market model

The result of community and citizen mobilization, the À-Ma-Baie Solidarity Market aims to improve access to fresh food at fair prices for your neighbourhood residents. The À-Ma-Baie solidarity market operates on a “pay what you can” basis. A suggested price is posted for each product. This amount represents a fair price to pay the farmer and the market organization. The customer is invited to pay what their budget allows!

This public market is set up by Corbeille de pain and VertCité, with the support of the Borough of Pierrefonds-Roxboro.

Location

Located in the eastern sector of the borough.

The À-Ma-Baie solidarity market is the result of community and citizen mobilization to improve access to fresh food for citizens.

It operates according to the “pay what you can” formula. Less fortunate clients contribute what they can for their purchases, and when their budget allows, they pay the suggested amount.

The primary goal is to make fruits and vegetables more accessible, both to people on low incomes and to residents in better economic circumstances.

All fruits and vegetables sold at this market are grown by producers within a 30-kilometre radius of our borough.

More than ever, let’s eat local and contribute to the vitality of our neighbourhoods!

This market is set up in partnership with the organizations VertCité and Corbeille de pain.

Payments by Carte Proximité are accepted.

We look forward to seeing you there!
