The city will replace streetlights on Boulevard Jacques-Bizard, between Rue Cherrier and Boulevard Chèvremont, in L’Île-Bizard—Sainte-Geneviève borough. The projected upgrades aim to enhance safety in the area.

The construction site has been dismantled and other short-term work is planned for February 2026.

What?

Street lighting on Boulevard Jacques-Bizard, between Rue Cherrier and Boulevard Chèvremont is currently insufficient. The planned construction work aims to:

  • improve lighting for enhanced driver, cyclist and pedestrian safety
  • replace obsolete lighting equipment
  • upgrade street lighting to meet standards
  • bury the new electric wires
