Redesign of the trail network

Trails are being restored in various areas of the park. The goal is to integrate unpaved trails into the existing network and to rebuild certain sections. The project aims to preserve the park’s grassy areas while making it easier to get around.

October to December 2026

Along the outer edges of the central plain, near the entrances on Boulevard Saint-Laurent and Rue Gary-Carter.

The project includes: 

• Integration of unpaved trails into the existing network 
• Reconstruction of damaged trails
• Replacement of urban furniture in the central plain
• Addition of grassy areas.

• Offer an enhanced visitor experience 
• Improve the connectivity of the trail network and facilitate movement within the park 
• Preserve vegetated areas and limit the creation of unpaved trails
• Make recreational areas more comfortable by replacing the benches around the central plain.

Resurfacing of the basketball courts

Resurfacing of both courts is currently underway. This work aims to improve the quality of the facilities and ensure their long-term durability in order to provide a positive experience for basketball players.

Basketball courts near Rue Jarry Ouest

• Renovation of the playing surface by applying a new acrylic coating
• Repair of the fences surrounding the courts
• Replacement of the adjacent gravel paths with concrete sidewalks
• Installation of new bleachers around the courts
• Replacement of nets, backboards, and posts

• Ensure the quality and durability of sports facilities
• Provide a safe environment for basketball players
• Improve user comfort by adding bleachers
• Enhance the site’s amenities and accessibility by replacing the paths around the courts
