Parc Jarry’s central plain and surrounding trails will undergo major improvements. The aim is to mitigate the impact of heavy rainfall by managing runoff water and enhancing the visitor experience.
About the project
The works will be on pause for winter from December 20, 2024 to Spring 2025.

On the park’s central plain and surrounding trails
What?
- Installing a drainage system and connection to the existing network
- Lighting upgrades
- Planting approximately 120 trees and 6,305 perennials
- Adding street furniture
- Upgrading paths
- Installing a Wi-Fi network
The skating rink in the northern sector of the plain will also be demolished for safety reasons. The best options for rapid reconstruction are being studied.

- Drain stormwater during heavy precipitation and reduce the impact of climate change
