Work on Saint-Urbain, between des Pins and Prince-Arthur

This Plateau-Mont-Royal project involves the reconstruction of water and sewer pipes. Work is also planned to ensure the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and motorists.

It will be carried out in two phases: infrastructure work in the summer and fall of 2024, and finishing work in the spring of 2025.

Rue Saint-Urbain, between Avenue des Pins and Rue Prince-Arthur

When?

July 2024 to May 2025

What?

In 2024, work will begin at the intersection of Rue Saint-Urbain and Rue Prince-Arthur:

  • reconstruction of water and sewer lines
  • reconstruction of the Commission des Services Électriques de Montréal (CSEM) manholes
  • Bell massif
  • relocation of signal poles
  • construction of 2 sidewalk projections on Prince-Arthur
  • addition of an island for the Bixi station and a universally accessible bus station on Saint-Urbain
  • bike path work at the Saint-Urbain/Prince-Arthur intersection

The work site will be on winter break and will resume in spring 2025 between Avenue des Pins and Rue Prince-Arthur, with work on :

  • pavement reconstruction
  • paving, bicycle path and pavement markings

These works may be postponed or their duration extended due to weather conditions or other constraints.
