Check property sales in your area

Do you own a residential building with 5 dwellings or fewer and want to know the sale prices of buildings in your area? Find out how.

Viewing property sales allows you to get a portrait of the market for buildings of the same category that are located in the same area as yours. The year 2024 is the reference year that was used to prepare the 2026-2027-2028 assessment rolls. Sales that are displayed are those that occurred in the reference year.

This data will allow you to compare transactions for buildings in your area. They may or may not be comparable to your property. They are presented for references purposes only and are not intended to replace the analytical work of a chartered appraiser.

You can also use the Québec land register (in French) to find out the sale price of a building in Québec. To get data on the real estate market, you can consult private real estate brokers or appraisers.

Use the online service

Make sure you know:

  • The building address, lot number or property registration number
  • The identification code.

Find your identification code

If your building is located within one of Montréal’s boroughs, the code is listed on your last assessment notice, in the upper right corner of the document.

If your building is located within one of the 15 neighbouring municipalities, there are 3 possible situations:

  • The code is listed on the assessment notice
  • The code is listed on your tax account statement
  • No code has been registered.

If you are unable to find your identification code or if no code has been registered, make a recovery request online. Your code will be sent to you by e-mail or postal mail. Contact us if you experience issues.

View sales

Enter details for your building (address, cadastral lot or registration number) and once the “Extrait du rôle d’évaluation foncière” (“Extract of the property assessment roll”) page opens, click on “Visualisez les ventes” (“View sales”) at the top right corner.
