Declare material used for the private section of the water service line
Did you change the lead pipe on the private portion of your water service line? You must notify us of your replacement pipe. Find out how.

Required documents
You will need to provide the following information in your declaration.
Photos of your service line
- Please provide 2 photos of the water service line inside your building:
- A photo of the section of pipe between the wall or foundation floor and the valve used to shut off the water supply to the building.
- A second photo of the immediate surroundings of the water service line.
Proof that the material is compliant
- To prove that the pipe of the private section is compliant along its entire length, both inside the house and underneath your property, please provide one of the following:
- An invoice specifying the material and length of replacement piping
- One or more photos of the replacement work showing the new pipe during excavation or the lot during the replacement project (including the street address)
- Any other document demonstrating the type of material of the water service line on the private section.

- Attach both required photos and provide evidence that the new pipe material is compliant.
If you own more than one building, you must complete one form for each building.
