After a twenty-year career, the contemporary art collective BGL (Jasmin Bilodeau, Sébastien Giguère, and Nicolas Laverdière) has been commissioned to create three major projects. The challenge is immense: to produce two monumental public art installations—one in Montreal and the other in Toronto—and to represent Canada at the 56th Venice Biennale. The timing couldn’t be better to turn the camera on this whimsical trio and, at the same time, take a retrospective look at their prolific and unsettling body of work.
