Find out the maximum time allowed for on-street parking
Did you know that in some boroughs your vehicle cannot be parked in the street for more than a given number of consecutive hours without being moved? The maximum duration varies depending on the type of vehicle (car, truck or other). See what rules apply in your borough.
To allow street parking for the greatest possible number of people, you must move your vehicle after a predetermined number of hours.

Parking of trucks on the street
A truck may be parked for a period of 90 minutes between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. At all times, it may be parked for the period required to make a delivery, perform work or provide a service in the home.
Parking recreational vehicles in the street
Parking recreational vehicles (RVs) in the street is limited to 48 hours for the same stretch of road for campers or recreational vehicles that are hitched to a road vehicle.
Temporary authorization
Twice a season for a maximum period of 48 consecutive hours, you can get temporary authorization to use a parking space for your RV by calling 311.

It is prohibited to park a truck, a bus or a trailer in residential areas. For further information on parking in Saint-Léonard, please view the by-law.
Parking a minibus is allowed on residential streets between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday to Friday during the school year, which runs from August 15 to June 24.
