Blue-Collar Workers’ Strike on April 15, 16 and 17 in Saint-Laurent

A strike by the City of Montréal’s blue-collar workforce is scheduled for April 15, 16 and 17, 2026. Below is the impact on services and facilities in Saint-Laurent.

Changes to the hours of certain facilities

  •  Aréna Raymond-Bourque : Closed
  • Park chalets: Closed
  • Centre des loisirs :
    • Wednesday, April 15: Open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
    • Thursday, April 16 and Friday, April 17: All activities are cancelled, but the reception desk will remain open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
    • Saturday, April 18 : Opens at noon

All other municipal buildings will remain accessible according to their regular schedules.

Waste collection maintained

Please note that garbage, recycling and organic waste collections will be maintained during this period.

Street cleaning and parking

No mechanical street sweeping will take place during the strike days. As a result, parking regulations related to maintenance work will not be enforced on April 15, 16 and 17.
