This decision was made after it became impossible to isolate Lachine’s drinking water system from those of the Atwater and Charles-J.-Des Baillets water treatment plants. 

On May 29, Ville de Montréal asked residents to join the community effort to reduce drinking water consumption due to the simultaneous shutdown of three main water distribution lines. 

By collectively reducing our drinking water consumption, we will be able to relieve pressure on the system and avoid complications.
