Nos équipes sont mobilisées
Like many neighborhoods in the West Island part of Montreal, Pierrefonds-Roxboro has received heavy rainfall in a short period of time. Our public work and aqueduct teams are out in the field setting up pumps and clearing out storm drains. SPVM authorities are also on the roads to ensure residents’ safety and facilitate traffic flow.
Despite these proactive measures, the stormwater system needs time to absorb and carry away this volume of water, which far exceeds the capacity of any stormwater system. Temporary accumulation of water may therefore occur in several areas during periods of heavy rainfall.
Please avoid calling 311, which is currently experiencing a higher volume of calls due to the situation across the entire city of Montreal. For any emergency, dial 911.
