How to Get to the OSM Concert on August 6 in Saint-Laurent
On Thursday, August 6, 2026, Parc Marcel-Laurin will be filled with the sounds of the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal (OSM) as part of the Fête de Saint-Laurent. To make the most of this outstanding evening, the borough encourages residents to use public transit and active transportation.
Public transit
Parc Marcel-Laurin is easy to get to from the Côte-Vertu metro station by taking the 177 Thimens bus.
The bus will drop passengers off at the corner of Thimens and Alexis-Nihon boulevards.
On foot or by bike
Residents living nearby are encouraged to walk or bike to the site, taking advantage of the local road system and the bicycle facilities in the area. More than 150 bike racks will also be added on site, along with those already available at all times in front of the municipal buildings.
Traffic and parking: expected impacts
Traffic
To ensure the event runs smoothly and to protect public safety, Boulevard Thimens will be completely closed between Cavendish and Alexis-Nihon boulevards on Thursday, August 6, 4:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.
Signs posted on site will indicate detours and traffic rules to follow during this period of time.
Residents in the area will still have local access. In particular, a police checkpoint operated by the SPVM will be set up at the corner of Boulevard Thimens and Rue Varin to keep traffic flowing smoothly in the neighbourhood. Proof of residence will be required for residents of Les Tours Bois-Franc.
Heavier-than-usual traffic is also expected in the Modugno area. Those planning to go to the event by car are therefore advised to allow extra time to get there.
Parking
Spaces are available in the Bombardier company parking lot and at Place Vertu.
Bombardier, access at the corner of rue Stewart and boulevard Thimens: 700 spaces.
Place Vertu, access via boulevard Cavendish: 150 spaces.

Transportation and parking
A drop-off area is available on Rue Alexis-Nihon, near Entrance 3 of the site.
