Renovations to Preserve Lachine Borough Hall

Are you planning to go to Lachine borough hall in the next few weeks? Maintenance and modernization work is currently under way to preserve this historic building and make sure it remains in good condition for years to come.

  • Main entrance

    Our blue-collar workers are carrying out repairs to the steps in several stages, including leveling the concrete and replacing the granite slab. During these renovations, the work areas will be cordoned off, but the entrance door will be accessible at all times. The access ramp for people with limited mobility is not affected by this work.

  • Elevator

    Modernization work requires the elevator to be out of service until mid-October. During this time, the Council room, located on the second floor, will be accessible only by the stairs.

  • Roof

    Following an inspection report conducted in 2024, the roofing will be replaced by a specialized contractor to ensure the building’s structural integrity.

While the work is under way, measures will remain in place to minimize the impact on visitors. Please note: Regular Council meetings are webcast and you can submit your questions by email.
