This commercial street will be getting a makeover. Discover the redevelopment plan! 
The Rue Notre-Dame redevelopment project includes widening the sidewalks on both sides of the street. On the south side, the sidewalk will be 3.12 metres wide, while on the north side, it will be widened to 5.52 metres.
The street will also be converted to a one-way, running eastbound. To increase tree canopy coverage and create a greener environment in the area, the planting pits will be enlarged to enable the roots to fully develop and allow the trees to reach maturity. Street furniture will be added at various locations to make the experience more welcoming and enjoyable for everyone. Hydro-Québec will re-install the utility lines underground. These improvements will be carried out while maintaining parking spaces on both sides of the street. 

The redevelopment work is scheduled to get under way in 2028. Until then, detailed project planning will continue, including the finalization of plans, calls for tender to award contracts, and the coordination of the work required by the various partners involved in carrying out the project.
