Collection services 

For all areas that are not impacted by street closures, the usual collection schedule remains in effect. 

If your residence is located on on a street that is either closed or reserved for local traffic only, collection services will be provided on the usual days, at two separate times, as follows: 

• Very early in the morning, prior to the street closure 

• In the evening, after the street reopens to vehicular traffic 

 To facilitate collection operations and activities: 

• Take your bins to the curb on the evening prior to the scheduled collection. 

• Remove the bins as soon as possible on the morning following the collection. 

• Write your address on your bins, so that they may be returned, should they get misplaced. 

• In the event that you were unable to take your bins to the curb the evening before the scheduled collection day, you may take them out as soon as the street is reopened, before 7 p.m., on collection day. 

After waste collection, bins may be left on the street corner nearest to the closure site. 

Street closures 

Street closures will begin every morning, 2 hours before the beginning of the races, around 7 a.m. Streets will reopen after the end of the events. 

Vehicular traffic will either be restricted or prohibited in certain areas during the races. Pedestrian crosswalks and controlled vehicular crossings will be configured along the route. For up-to-date information on road closures and obstructions, check Waze. 

Traffic impacts 

From September 23 to 27, a two-way traffic configuration will be in place to allow access to residents of the following areas: 

• Avenue Glencoe, between Chemin de la Côte-Sainte-Catherine and Avenue Willowdale 
• Avenue Willowdale, between Avenue Glencoe and Avenue Vincent-D’Indy. 

Parking 

No parking along the race itinerary 

As of September 22, parking will be prohibited at all times along the race itinerary, until the end of the competitions. All vehicles must be relocated latest by September 21, at 11:59 p.m. 

Vehicles left in no-parking zones will be towed away. Please comply with the signs in place. 

Mitigation measures will be available to compensate for parking restrictions affecting certain residents. 

Parking in resident-only street parking zones 5 and 6 

Residents who have a zone 5 or 6 resident street parking sticker will be allowed to park in any other resident street parking zone across the borough. 

Certain restrictions temporarily lifted 

Parking restrictions for street-cleaning, as well as 60-minute and 2-hour maximum parking durations will be temporarily lifted in the following areas: 

• The area bounded by Chemin de la Côte-Sainte-Catherine, Avenue Victoria and Chemin Queen-Mary, including the perimeter around the Université de Montréal, extending to Avenue Vincent-D’Indy; 
• Rue du Frère-André, Rue Coronet and Rue du Piedmont; 
• Avenue Ridgewood and Avenue Forest Hill.
