Collection services 

For all areas that are not impacted by street closures, the usual collection schedule remains in effect. 

If your residence is located on on a street that is either closed or reserved for local traffic only, collection services will be provided on the usual days, at two separate times, as follows: 

• Very early in the morning, prior to the street closure 
• In the evening, after the street reopens to vehicular traffic 

 To facilitate collection operations and activities: 

• Take your bins to the curb on the evening prior to the scheduled collection. 
• Remove the bins as soon as possible on the morning following the collection. 
• Write your address on your bins, so that they may be returned, should they get misplaced. 
• In the event that you were unable to take your bins to the curb the evening before the scheduled collection day, you may take them out as soon as the street is reopened, before 7 p.m., on collection day. 

After waste collection, bins may be left on the street corner nearest to the closure site. 

Private Deliveries and Waste Collection

For businesses located in the Plateau area, south of Saint-Joseph and west of Saint-Denis, if you receive deliveries or use a private waste collection service:

• Plan your operations in advance.
• Inform your suppliers about the street closures and any potential impacts on loading and delivery zones.
• Whenever possible, schedule the collection of your containers between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m..

Competition sites and street closures 

Avenue du Parc will be closed to traffic between Avenue des Pins and Avenue du Mont-Royal at all times, between September 4 and October 4, including the time required to set up and dismantle the site. Significant impacts are anticipated for both traffic and parking in the area. Street closures will begin every morning, to hours before the races, around 7 a.m. Streets will be reopened after the races end. Crosswalks will be configured in various locations along the itinerary, for pedestrian safety. 

Parking 

As of September 18, parking is prohibited along the itinerary. No-parking signs will be set up before that date. 

In Plateau-Mont-Royal, this restriction will be in effect as follows: 

• From September 18 to 22 along the route on Avenue des Pins up to Rue Saint-Denis 
• From September 22 to 27 along the route forming the quadrilateral around Parc Jeanne-Mance. 

Consequently, all vehicles must be moved latest by September 17, at 11:59 p.m. on the first route, and latest by September 22, at 11:59 on the second route. 

Parking spaces will also be removed near Parc Jeanne-Mance, starting on September 19, namely on Rue l’Esplanade, Rue Sainte-Famille, Rue Jeanne-Mance, Rue Hutchison, Rue Durocher and Rue Aylmer. No-parking signs will also be installed ahead of the event n these areas. 

Consequently, all vehicles must be moved latest by September 18, at 11:59 p.m. 
Parking mitigation measures will be rolled out for landlocked areas.  

• From September 19 to 27: Residents who have a zone 10,26, 29 or 30 resident street parking sticker will be allowed to park in any other resident street parking zone across the borough. 
• From September 19 to 22: Parking restrictions for street-cleaning will be lifted for the area bounded by Rue Hutchison, Rue Saint-Joseph, Rue Saint-Laurent, Rue Rachel, Rue Saint-Hubert, Rue Sherbrooke, Rue University, Rue des Pins Ouest and Rue du Parc. 
• From September 23 to 27: Parking restrictions will be lifted for the area bounded by Rue Hutchison, Rue Saint‑Joseph, Rue Saint‑Laurent, Rue Sherbrooke, Rue University, Rue des Pins Ouest and Rue du Parc. 

Parking permits for landlocked areas 

From September 19 to 27, certain parking spaces will be offered to holders of resident street parking stickers whose address is on Avenue de l’Esplanade and on Rue Marie-Anne O., Rue Rachel O. and Rue Duluth O between Avenue de l’Esplanade and Rue Saint-Urbain. 

If you qualify, you can obtain your permit at your borough’s Accès Montréal office during office hours: 

• Dates: starting on August 17. 
• Required documents: 1 proof of identification and 1 proof of residence.

Sports facilities 

Parc Jeanne-Mance:  

• Tennis courts: full closure from September 8 to 29. 
• Baseball court: full closure from September 12 to 13 and from September 17 to 28. 
• Grass soccer field: full closure as of September 12. 
• Synthetic soccer field: full closure until 5 p.m. on September 13, as well as from September 19 to 27 and full closure from September 28 to 29. 
• Volleyball court: no changes anticipated. 

Parc La Fontaine:  

• Émile-Duployé bike path: full closure between September 14 and October 5. 
• Skate zone: closed from September 9, scheduled to be reinstalled on October 5. 
• Tennis courts: higher demand expected between September 8 and 29 due to the closure of tennis courts in Parc Jeanne-Mance. 

Public transit 

Routes 11 and 711  

• On September 13 and from September 23 to 27, route 11 – Parc-du-Mont-Royal and route 711 – Parc-du-Mont-Royal / Oratoire will be suspended. 
• From September 19 to 22, routes 11, 97 and 711 will be modified, while still traveling to the mountain and to Laurier station. 

Route 445  

• On September 21 and 22, from 5:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., route 445 will end at Papineau station. It will not provide services to the downtown area.
