Work projects to modernize Parc Kirkland

Work projects to modernize the lighting and security systems are under way at Parc Kirkland, located in the Arrondissement de Lachine. This $1.2-million project is designed to improve accessibility and safety for all visitors.

To complete the work begun in the fall of 2025, Parc Kirkland will be closed from March 23 through June 2026. All facilities will be closed during this time, except for the soccer field, which will remain accessible.


The work is specifically intended to:

  •  Replace outdated street lights with a more efficient and energy-saving LED lighting system;
  •  Install a video surveillance system to increase security.

While the work is under way, only the soccer field will remain accessible. Residents are invited to enjoy the borough’s other parks and facilities in the meantime.
