Parc-nature de l’Île-de-la-Visitation is the most urban of the city’s nature parks. This linear park runs the length of the Rivière des Prairies and includes an island named Île de la Visitation.

Description

Parc-nature de l’Île-de-la-Visitation combines nature and history and is brimming with activities for all. Visit the ruins of old millsand the historic Maison du Pressoir and gaze out over the Rivière des Prairies from the lookouts. Take to the trails on foot or bicycle and see hundreds of species of birds. In winter, strap on your cross-country skis and ski along the water’s edge, take a course or head down the hill on your snow carpets. When you feel like you need a break, head for one of the two chalets with fireplaces and rental counters.
