In line with Lachine’s cultural development plan, the Borough wishes to promote access to culture, enrich cultural experience on its territory and democratize amateur and semi-professional artistic practice. Many amateur artists live in our neighbourhoods, where exhibition spaces are limited, not to mention the amateur visual artists registered with cultural leisure organizations. 

In 2025, we are offering to exhibit the projects in the Saul-Bellow and Saint-Pierre libraries! Interested artists will be asked to handle the installation of their project. To do so, adjustable hanging wires with hooks and display cases are available.

• An amateur visual artist (solo or group)
• A resident of Montréal
• Existing works ready for installation

• Artistic quality and originality of the exhibition
• Technical feasibility of the exhibition
• Priority will be given to artists from the borough
• Contribution to project promotion
• Eco-responsability of the project

In addition to following the criteria guidelines, the selection committee will strive to represent a wide range of projects in its programming.
